Nope (2022) (7.5/10) dir. Jordan Peele

1. Nope is a sci-fi horror film about ranch owners attempting to capture footage of a strange alien life form.
2. Nope is super mysterious, suspenseful, and entertaining. It is incredibly well-made and the acting is phenomenal.
3. The movie and its messages are super ambiguous and frankly confusing. I think if you go into Nope expecting Get Out you will be disappointed. I also wasn’t super scared by the giant creature who inhales things despite being entertained by the cast.
4. Ultimately, I think Nope had some interesting messages about exploitation in Hollywood and of human obsession with spectacle in general.
